Reference standards

Developed to challenge different parts of the analytical system the reference standards are a great way to test auto ID on EDS, peak deconvolution, of light tightness of the EDS window. Also for education on the different techniques and their limitations, the pro’s and con’s of detectors can be explained with examples like Raman vs EDS.

As most of the minerals are natural, they may not be entirely homogeneous, but their diverse concentrations and combinations of elements make them fascinating to analyze.
